Post retirement, Dhoni to join BJP?

Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is always in headlines these days. One for not meeting the expectations of the fans with his bat and the other for his retirement. Many of them are wondering when will Dhoni retire from international cricket and what he will do after retiring. A BJP leader has answers for Dhoni’s post-retirement plans.

The BJP leader is Sanjay Paswan from Bihar. Paswan said Dhoni will join politics after quitting cricket and he might be the face of Jharkhand in the next elections which are likely to be held by the end of this year. Not just that BJP is mulling to field Dhoni as Chief Ministerial candidate.

The BJP leader went on to claim that the first round of discussions between him and BJP is already one. Once Dhoni retires, his next step would be in politics. Dhoni will contest for the Jharkhand assembly and it will be completely his call on which constituency he wants to pick.

If seriously Dhoni steps into politics, then there would be certainly good days for Jharkhand and it’s progress. Hope this happens and Dhoni will once again make it to the records of becoming the first cricketer to become the chief minister of a state.
