The much-awaited Uttar Pradesh election result was out and the saffron party had recorded a stunning victory in the recent general elections. Despite the opposition parties looking strong, they could not be a strong competitor for the Bharatiya Janata Party, in its own turf.
Days after BJP’s resounding victory, firebrand leader Reventh Reddy had come up with a detailed analysis on how religion played a key role. He said that, though BJP won the elections, Asaduddin Owaisi and CM KCR became successful in implementing the plan.
TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy said that KCR had claimed that he is working on taking on the BJP but the reality is quite different. Mentioning how AIMIM contested in 100 seats where the Muslim population is high, Revanth Reddy said that this move had worked well for defeating the Samajwadi Party.
Revanth Reddy alleged that the game plan was implemented correctly and Owaisi had made anti-Hindu comments during his campaign which made the Hindus vote for the BJP. Muslims have voted for SP and Hindus voted for the BJP. If AIMIM would have not contested the elections, SP would have won 60 more seats, he said.
Taking a dig at KCR for meeting the Chief Ministers of other states and touring in other states, Revanth Reddy asked why KCR did not meet AIMIM Chief Owaisi and made plans of defeating the BJP. KCR made Owaisi tour and campaign in UP denting the winning chances of SP, he said.
