Former DGP Sawang appointed as new APPSC chairman

Andhra Pradesh’s former DGP Damodar Gautam Sawang’s transfer has come as a surprise to the people of the state as he is due to retire in 2023. The Andhra Pradesh government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Thursday appointed Gautam Sawang as the new Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

As per reports, AV Ramana Reddy was serving as the in-charge chairman of the Commission after Chairman Pinnamaneni Udayabahsaker’s retirement.
