Needless to say, the Covid-19 situation had been worsening day by day in Telangana and creating panic among the citizens. On the other hand many covid-19 patients have been facing difficulties in getting admissions in hospitals.
In this regard, District Government Hospitals in Telangana, Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences as well as 3 private colleges in the state will provide free corona treatment to those infected with COVID-19. Currently Mamata, Mallareddy and Kamineni medical institutions have begin providing free services for the treatment. Seven more private medical colleges will soon be added to the list, the director of public health, Dr. G Srinivasa Rao stated.
Reportedly, the state medical department has taken action against private hospitals in the wake of reports that private hospitals are charging unnecessary exorbitant high fees and other forms of harassment from victims. The government announced an official WhatsApp number- 9154170960 specifically for victims to complain.
The number of COVID-19 tests in the country has increased significantly. Yesterday alone, 3,20,161 samples were tested across the country, which is the first time that tests on a larger extent have been conducted in a single day. ICMR reports that 1,24,12,664 samples have been tested so far
