After Akshay Kumar’s financial assistance and cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s pledge to bear the expenses of children of CRPF Jawans who were killed in Maoist attack in Sukma of Chattisgarh state, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberai has come forward to donate 25 residential flats to families of CRPF Jawans who were killed in the line of duty.
The Rakta Charitra actor’s commendable decision to donate houses for the families of martyrs is being lauded by one and all. Vivek has already handed over 4 flats to families of Jawans who died in Sukma attack and his office is waiting for the list from officials to donate 21 more.
The biggest beneficiaries of this donation are apparently the families of Maharashtra since these flats are in Thane district of Maharashtra state. Out of 12 CRPF jawans who were martyred in Sukma attack, four are from Maharashtra. The twitter handle of CRPF India has officially thanked actor Vivek Oberai for this gesture.
Vivek Oberai, being one of the wealthiest actors in India, was always committed to charity work and donations. Early this year, the actor announced that his firm Karrm Infrastructures will soon build affordable houses in and around Mumbai as a boost to Modi’s ‘Housing for all’ campaign.
