Nation’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday stated that Digital India, which was commenced by the Centre in 2015, is an exceptional development from government. It is not just an initiative but become a way of life currently.
While addressing at Bengaluru Tech Summit, 2020, via digital conference, he affirmed that his governance model is ‘Technology First’. Modi came up with many technological advancements to aid below poverty people, health sector, Fisheries sector, industrial sector, farming industry etc by introducing apps to maintain transparency between citizens and government an also as an aid in the covid time.
“We launched Digital India 5 years back. Today, I am glad to say that Digital India is no longer being seen as any regular government initiative. Digital India has become a way of life. Particularly, for the poor, marginalised and for those in the government,” he emphasised.
He said his government augmented human dignity. “Now crores of farmers receive monetary aid just in one click. At the troubled times, it was the technology that ensured that India’s poor received proper and quick assistance. The government will always take key policy decisions with a motto to improve tech and innovation”, he asserted.
It is learnt that with digitalisation, technology has become a pivotal solution for filling the voids. Many incubation centres, hackathons and tech summits have been organised in recent times, that boosted learning and growing process immeasurably with in a short phase.
