Producer Dil Raju made interesting remarks in the audio function of ‘Nenu Local’ few days ago. He said that “It is Ravi Teja who has become a star hero after Megastar Chiranjeevi in the last 30 years, without any backup in Tollywood. It is Nani who is growing like him after Ravi Teja”. We have to accept that Nani has been evolved as star hero in the recent past. The success of Nenu Local has cemented his position as a star hero. Frankly speaking.. Nenu Local is not a great movie. It is not an exaggeration that half of the credit of Nenu Local success goes to Nani.
Not only Nenu Local.. the earlier films Majnu.. Gentleman.. movies were ordinary. But Nani has increased the range of these movies. He played crucial role in the success of these two films. Only star heroes can do such feats. They can turn averge movies into hits. So there is no doubt about Nani’s star image now. Ravi Teja also grown like this in the past. He created a market for himself. If his movie becomes a hit, it will surely collect 30 crores… even if it turns out to be a flop, it will collect at least 15 crore.
Nani has grown in a similar way. Minimum collections for Nani movie are 15 crore now. If it gets a positive talk, it will collect 20 crore.. it it becomes a hit then it will go on collecting 25 crores. Nenu Local has already collected 15 crore share in the first weekend itself. Trade analysts are predicting that the movie will collect anywhere between 25 – 30 crore in the full run.
