Defending her father’s criticism of Congress National President Rahul Gandhi, TRS Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha said there is nothing wrong in calling Rahul Gandhi a “buffoon”.
TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao made the remark on Rahul Gandhi soon after dissolving the Assembly in September. Kavitha said that “Everybody knows Rahul Gandhi is the biggest buffoon in the country,” she said, adding that he does silly things all the time.
“Everyone witnessed how Rahul Gandhi broke the Parliament protocol and hugged the Prime Minister in the Parliament House. It was a silly move by him and hence, our leader (KCR) responded like that,” she added, defending her father.
Speaking about the Federal Front that K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be floating, she said that he will form a front which is respected by people, not of different political parties. “We are focussing on a non-BJP, non-Congress front at the Centre,” she said, adding that TRS believes in a neutral platform.
