NTR’s father-in-law meets Jagan: What’s up?

In a surprising and politically significant development, Narne Srinivasa Rao, father-in-law of young hero of Tollywood Junior N T Rama Rao, met YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter’s Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad on Monday.

According to party sources, Narne had a closed door discussions with Jagan for over half an hour. Though it is not exactly known what transpired between the two, but party sources said they had discussed the prevailing political situation in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media later, Narne said there was no political significance to his meeting with Jagan and he had met the latter only as a matter of courtesy.

“I have been enjoying good relations with Jagan for quite some,” he said, without elaborating further.

Though Narne did not divulge what he had talked with Jagan, the fact that the meeting took place at a time when there has been a large scale exodus of TDP leaders into the YSRC itself indicates that there is something significant in the meeting.

“There is going to be some sensational development in this regard. Watch out,” was the comment from a YSRC leader.

Narne is close relative of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. His wife Naga Mallika is the niece of Naidu and his daughter Lakshmi Pranathi got married to Junior NTR only with the blessings of Naidu.

However, Junior NTR, who had campaigned for the TDP in 2009 elections, has been staying away from the party activities since Naidu started sidelining him and encouraging his own son Lokesh in the party. There were reports that Jr NTR was moving closely with YSRC leaders for quite some time.

May be, Jr NTR might incline towards YSRC during the coming elections and that could be the point of discussion between Narne and Jagan!
