On Thursday, Rana Daggubati took to social media to release the teaser of Sumanth’s interesting next, titled Kaptadhaari.
The intriguing teaser seems to have many shocks in store and promises an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Sumanth plays a traffic cop who requests to be part of an on-going investigation of a high-profile murder case. The teaser has received good response from the audience, with many lauding Sumanth for choosing an interesting script. Sharing it Rana wrote, “Presenting the teaser of #Kapatadhaari.” (sic)

Shooting for the film was wrapped up earlier this month and Sumanth had also posted a picture back then revealing he has begun shooting for his next. He had written, “While #Kapatadhaari awaits release, and normalcy slowly resumes, finally get to begin shoot of my next.” (sic)
Kapatadhaari is being directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy who earlier directed the critically acclaimed film Saithan which starred Vijay Antony. This gripping thriller will see actors like Nasser, Nandita Swetha, Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore, Suman Ranganath and Sampath. Further details of the movie’s release are awaited. Apart from this film, buzz is that Sumanth is playing the lead role in the Telugu remake of Malayalam gangster-comedy Padayottam. It is speculated that this project will be directed by Vinu Yagna and debutant actress Aima has been roped in as the female lead. However, an official announcement is yet to be made
