However, more than the buyers here, the Tamil producers are more hopeful of the market here. Which is why they are quoting Rs 40 lakh for the rights of Kaala.Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Robo 2 has been sold for Rs 80 crores. But who will risk buying Kaala for Rs 40 crore? Which is why no one is buying the film now. There is talk that putting in even Rs 20 crore will be a big matter right now.
Still the Tamil producers are maintaining that Rs 40 crore will make for a good deal. However, though a couple of them have shown interest, considering that it is a Rajini film being sold at Rs 40 crore, they apparently backed out.It remains to be seen who will buy the film right now.
