Regina Trying Hard By Coming Up With Controversial Statements!

It has been a while since we saw Regina Cassandra on the Telugu screen. Barring the item song she did in ‘Acharya’, her last film in Telugu was ‘Yevaru’ which came out long back. She played a negative character in it. After a long time, Regina is trying her luck in Telugu once again with ‘Saakini Daakini’. Regina and Nivetha are playing key roles in this film.

Despite the impressive teaser and trailer, the team is unable to generate the required buzz on this movie. It is releasing this weekend and Regina is trying hard to grab the attention by coming up with controversial statements one after the other. She made some comments about men and Maggi who are done in two minutes. Adivi Sesh questioned about it in the pre-release event too.

Now, she revealed that she was kissed on the lips by a lady. She added that she was shocked at the beginning but did not push her away as she was a woman. Regina even said that she would have slapped the person if it was a guy. This led to a lot of comments on social media. Some people are questioning about the concept of equality while the others are coming with cheeky responses.

Despite all this, ‘Saakini Daakini’ is arriving with low buzz. Even the film’s director Sudheer Varma is nowhere seen in the promotions. Apparently, this was a film made for direct OTT release and they are releasing it in theatres now. Due to this, Sudheer Varma is staying away from promotions and is focusing on his ‘Ravanasura’ with Ravi Teja.

‘Saakini Daakini’ is an official remake of the South Korean action-comedy film ‘Midnight Runners’ and it is being produced by D. Suresh Babu, Sunitha Tati and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim. Richard Prasad is the cinematographer while Mikey McCleary and Naresh Kumaran worked on the music. Let us wait and see how the film turns out to be this weekend.
