SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar lands in trouble for overstepping the line in duty!

The much-talked-about Panchayat Elections in Andhra Pradesh took an interesting turn with Ministers of the ruling YSRCP complaining to the Speaker against State Election Commissioner(SEC) Nimmagadad Ramesh Kumar.

It has been widely reported that the AP Assembly Privilege Committee has decided to take serious action against Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar after discussing the concerns raised by the YSRCP Ministers.

Earlier, YSRCP Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana reached out to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram to complain about the SEC.

It is said that the Ministers have said that in the letter Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has written to Governor, he has tarnished their image. Tammineni Sitaram has forwarded the letter to the Privilege committee on Monday

However it is still unknown, whether SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar will appear for the inquiry in this regard personally, or he will send his response through a letter. More details in this regard are awaited.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Privilege Committee possesses the required powers to look into the issue. The committee can even take the appropriate action if they think, SEC has overstepped the line in his duty.
