After every leader in Andhra Pradesh decided not to politicize this critical COVID-19 crisis period, only a few of them stood on their word. Many leaders are using this lockdown situation for their political mileage and to criticize others in one way or another.
In one of such many examples, Minster Mopidevi Venkata Ramana alleged that the TDP party people are working like sleeper cells to spread the COVID-19 across the state. He made these comments after many questions raised by the TDP cadre about the efficiency of the government in controlling the COVID-19 transmission.
The minister expressed doubt that the TDP workers are spreading the virus in corona-free areas leading to new cases especially in villages. He also said that the Telugu Desam Party Supremo, Chandra Babu Naidu would go to any extent to defame the YSRCP government.
To a question on seeking probe into his allegations, Mopidevi stated that he will wait for some more days. Ramana further said that there are definite politics behind Kanna Lakshmi Narayana’s letter to the governor and clarified that their government is very transparent on the purchase of the rapid testing kits.
This kind of comment coming from the ruling party is definitely a shame and the allegation should have some base in this sensitive period otherwise it might result in some unnecessary chaos that cannot be controlled by any force in the present situation.
