Tension gripped the Anantapur region of Andhra Pradesh after the flexis of TDP leader and former Minister Paritala Ravindra popularly known as Paritala Ravi were burnt on Sunday by some unidentified people.
Going into detail, flexis of late Paritala Ravi were set up in Kadiridevarapalli village of Anantapur on the occasion of his death anniversary. Today marks the 16th death anniversary of Paritala Ravi.
This incident has sent shocking waves with TDP activists and Paritala followers raising their objections over the incident. They have alleged that some people purposefully did this.
On the other hand, Paritala Ravi’s family members, his wife Paritala Sunitha, and son Paritala Sriram visited the Paritala ghat at Venkatapuram and paid tributes to the leader.
The Paritala ghat was decorated with a lot of flowers. Paritala Ravi’s pictures were displayed in the ghat.
After offering tributes to Paritala Ravi, Paritala Sunitha spoke to the media and said they are taking forward the aspirations of Paritala and given the current political situation, his aspirations should be achieved.
Adding further, the former legislator said on the occasion of Paritala’s death anniversary, anna danam (food distribution) will be done across the state.
