After the Centre said that the Vizag Steel Plant will be privatised, TDP leader and former Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has resigned from his MLA post and joined the protests.
The former Minister addressed the media on Sunday over the Steel Plant row. Srinivasa Rao said that the opposition TDP is ready to join hands with YSRCP to protest against the Centre’s decision.
The TDP leader found fault with the Andhra Pradesh wing of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and alleged that the state wing of the party is not fighting for the Vizag Steel Plant.
“Chief Minister Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Vizag Steel Plant. Pawan Kalyan has also tried his way by meeting Delhi leaders. But the BJP leaders are singing a different tune,” he said.
He warned the AP wing of BJP that, the party will face the wrath of people if the VSP gets privatised. BJP’s ally Jana Sena should put pressure on BJP to see that the Centre takes back its decision/
Srinivasa Rao has urged the celebrities across the fields to raise their voice against this and said that leaders of all the parties should come together to save the Steel Plant.
