West Bengal CM bats for 4 National Capitals for India!

Today marks the 125th birth anniversary of the most celebrated Indian celebrated freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose. He was popularly called as Netaji.

On the occasion, All India Trinamool Congress party founder and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed a rally today to pay homage to the great freedom fighter.

Addressing the rally, Mamata Banerjee aka Didi batted for the idea to have four capitals on a rotation basis.

Why everything is restricted to Delhi only. Why the country should not have four capitals in North, South, East, and West India. Why the capitals should not function on a rotational basis?, News Agency PTI quoted the CM.

She even urged the TMC Parliamentarians to raise the demand to have four capitals in the Parliament and said that there is a need to change the thinking as the idea of one leader, one nation will not work.

Didi found fault with the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing false love towards Netaji. She slammed Modi’s decision to rename Netaji Port to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee dock.

Why the Centre has decided to use the term ‘Parakaram’ to celebrate Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary?. The BJP, which says they follow Netaji ideology has scraped the Planning Commission started by Netaji, Mamata questioned.

The West Bengal wing of BJP has celebrated the birth anniversary of Chandra Bose on the 23rd of January as ‘Parakram Diwas’. While the TMC has called for the move to celebrate Bose’s birth anniversary as ‘Desh Prem Diwas’.

Both BJP and TMC are claiming to bat for the legacy of the great Indian freedom fighter ahead of the much-awaited 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
