BJP senior leader and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender has dropped a bombshell when he said that he was willing to contest against Chief Minister KCR. He said he was ready to fight KCR if the party leadership asks him to do so. Addressing a Meet the Press organized on Thursday, he said that there was no question of his joining either the Congress Party or of going back to the TRS.
Thus, Eatala has put a full-stop to the rumors floating around that he would join the Congress Party and fight against KCR. He has also put paid to the rumors that he might go back to the TRS. These rumors have been doing rounds of late in view of the reports that Eatala is not comfortable in the BJP and that he has problems with the state leadership.
Referring to his resignation from the TRS, Eatala said that he did not leave the party under normal circumstances. “I was literally necked out. I was forced to leave the party,†he revealed. He further said that the TRS had spent close to Rs 600 crore to defeat him in Huzurabad, but in vain. He said the Dalit Bandhu scheme was specifically brought in to defeat him.
There are reports that Eatala is trying to project himself as the BJP’s CM candidate for the 2023 elections. He is currently on an exploratory tour of the state, attending the party’s training programmes. He is also said to be in touch with several TRS leaders and is confident that they would desert the TRS at the right time.
