BAN Makers All Eyes On That Meeting

It is a known fact that, theaters are shut down in Tamil Nadu state as a result of dispute between producers and digital service providers (DSP) like Qube Cinemas over Virtual Print Fee (VPF).While the other south Indian Industries have accepted the 23 per cent discount offered by the DSP, Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council has not accepted it.

Everyone is looking forward to the crucial meeting betweem Tamil Film Produers council, exhibitor’s association and DSPs. The meeting has been called by the state government at the Secretariat at 11.30 am.Incidentally, the development is important for Mahehs and his tem as they are planning to release it in Tamil Nadu.

As of now, no Chennai or Tamil Nadu release is planned for Bharat Ane Nenu due to Telugu Producers’ solidarity in stopping the new releases along with Tamil Producers.Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam was taken off the theaters lately and Rajinikanth’s Kaala unit is also waiting for the strike to be called off.
