Expressing his dissatisfaction with the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh, Tadepalligudem MLA Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, who was formerly in the State Cabinet, resigned from his Assembly membership. Alleging that the state government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has failed to keep its promises in developing his consistency, he said that 56 promises are still pending despite repeated appeals.
Giving an ultimatum of 15 days to the Chief Minister, Manikyala Rao said that he is expecting a reply from Chandrababu. “Chandrababu Naidu has been neglecting Tadepalligudem. Despite my efforts in highlighting the problems of people in my constituency, the government has neglected it,” he added.
He also cautioned the government that if the Chief Minister doesn’t respond within 15 days, he will go on an indefinite fast. “Just because Tadepalligudem is not a TDP bastion, you are ignoring it. This type of discrimination is unjust,” he said, adding that this displeasure has led him to resign from the Assembly.
