She was a pillar of support to NTR : Vidya Balan

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who is making her debut in Telugu with ‘NTR’ biopic said, NT Rama Rao and Nandamuri Basavatarakam share a beautiful bond.

Vidya is also celebrating her birthday on New Year and she had a chit-chat with media.

“I thought NTR is perfect debut for me and when I spoke to Balakrishna regarding the movie, I instantly agreed to do the film. I’m so blessed to be part of this prestigious biopic,” said Vidya.

When asked about the role of Nandamuri Basavatarakam, Vidya replied that she is a strong woman and was a pillar of support to NTR all through his ups and downs. She added that director Krish made it easy for her on the sets as he used to send her dialogues on WhatsApp much before the shoot.

And about working with Balakrishna, Vidya said it was pleasant and great. “He is a disciplined actor and gets into the skin of character. But for ‘NTR,’ his dedication is something else. That shows how much Balakrishna loves his father (NTR),” said Vidya.

At the age of nine, Vidya first heard about NTR when she was on vacation to Hyderabad. “There are many events in NTR’s life which audience need to know and I’m sure this film will reveal many of them” stated the ‘Kahaani’ beauty.

‘NTR’ made in two parts ‘NTR – Kathanayakudu’ and ‘NTR – Mahanayakudu’ are hitting the screens on January 9th and February 7th.
