Pulwama attack was an ‘accident’: Diggy Raja

Former incharge of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and Congress leader Digvijay Singh has sparked a controversy by calling Pulwama attack on CRPF jawans an ‘ACCIDENT.’

In a series of tweets Digvijay criticised PM Narendra Modi on the airstrikes by IAF after the February 14th incident. “Some ministers are saying 250 were killed, few BJP leaders are saying about 300 were killed in airstrikes. International media has doubts about this. But the country wants to the actual truth,” tweeted Digvijay in Hindi.

The ex-MP CM slammed Modi for politicising the issue and gain electoral benefit.

These comments of the Congress leader drew criticism from union ministers. VK Singh replied that it is unfortunate to call an attack as an accident while Prakash Javadekar questioned what happened to Congress party. “They are questioning our army and hurting a nation’s feelings,” said the HRD minister.

The BJP and Congress are on war of words post the Pulwama attack. This is a sensitive issue and the credibility of Indian army is at stake. It’s high time, these leaders focus on other issues instead of dragging armed forces into the pity and pathetic politic fight.
