Air india crew to say ‘Jai Hind’ after every announcement

An official advisory of the National carrier issued by Amitabh Singh, Air India Director Operations, read that Air India crew members must now say “Jai Hind” after every flight announcement. The Jai Hind should also sound with passion and intensity.

The officials confirm that the Jai Hind rule is made in line with the mood of the nation, keeping the present scenario in mind. Air India Chairman, Ashwin Lohani, said that “the captain of a flight should interact with passengers throughout the journey and saying ‘Jai Hind’ would make a tremendous impact”.

Ashwin Lohani, during 2016, had a similar directive to his crew members. He explained other mandatory rules like greeting passengers politely and wearing a smile all the time as the airlines have a complaint of being rude to the passengers. Now this circulation of saying Jai Hind after every announcement onboard is crucial for the airlines in order to connect amicably with the passengers. With this new move, we hope Air India becomes more profitable than before.
