Use My Money To Save Jet Airways: Vijay Mallya

In order to save and rescue Jet Airways from falling apart, the government has announced that banks will pump Rs 1,500 crore right when the founder, Naresh Goyal, has stepped down. The owner of the non-existing Kingfisher Airlines, Vijay Mallya, did not leave any opportunity and slammed the Modi government for not doing anything for him.

He tweeted in an aggressive manner that the government did not do anything to save his airlines and he has not been recognised for his investments. Instead, he was accused of no reason. Calling NDA as double standards, he said, “I invested over 4000 crores into Kingfisher Airlines to save the Company and its employees. Not recognised and instead slammed in every possible way. The same PSU Banks let India’s finest airline with the best employees and connectivity fail ruthlessly. Double standards under NDA”.

In 2012, Mallya’s Kingfisher airlines have faced a similar situation, causing mammoth losses into millions and losing jobs. Out of frustration, Vijay Mallya further went on to slam the Manmohan Singh administration and asked the PSU banks to take his offer and save the Jet Airways.

“And I repeat once again that I have placed liquid assets before the Hon’ble Karnataka High Court to pay off the PSU Banks and all other creditors. Why do the Banks not take my money? It will help them to save Jet Airways if nothing else,” he tweeted.

On Sunday, Jet Airways founder and chairman Naresh Goyal and his wife announced that they will exit the board, which will pave way for the funds’ infusion and SBI would become majority shareholders in the airline.
