While Telangana PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy exudes confidence that the Congress party will win all the 17 seats in Telangana, it is not going to happen in one constituency. And that is Nizamabad. The reason being the party’s candidate is nowhere to be seen in the election campaign and seems like he has given up.
Madhu Yashki Goud had represented Nizamabad Lok Sabha twice. In 2014, he lost with the Telangana wave favouring TRS. Nonetheless Madhu Yashki was always active and kept fighting against the TRS in the district and state level. In the assembly elections, he wanted to contest but TPCC ignored him. Upset with this Madhu Yashki did not actively campaign and now despite getting ticket, he is not in a mood.
As per Madhu Yashki’s close sources, he is in a mind-set that the main fight in Nizamabad is going to be between Kavitha of TRS and Dharmapuri Aravind of BJP. Both are aggressively campaigning for the past few days. With farmers filing nominations in huge number, the fight is more intresting.
The Congress Nizamabad cadre and supporters of Madhu Yashki are not happy with this. They opined that at least he should have put some efforts instead of giving up so easily.
