I want to take this forward.’

While BJP fielded a cricketer, Congress allotted ticket for a boxer and he is none than Olympic champion Vijender Singh. He will be contesting from South Delhi and later in the day he will file the nomination. Upon getting the MP ticket Vijender said, ‘I’m happy that Congress has given me a responsibility to serve the people. As a son of a driver, I understand the plight of the poor. I’ll be available to people to understand their problems, if get elected.’

On Modi wave, Vijender said, ‘I don’t see Modi wave anywhere. People got to know the real face of Modi and BJP which has deceived the people in the last five years. Youth just want employment and there are many issues to be addressed. Only Congress can bring a change.’
