Nearly after four long decades of acting experience, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal makes his foray into direction with the film, Barroz – Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure. It is a 3D multi-lingual. The actor unveiled his new venture details on his blog and fan are pretty exciting to see him put director’s cap behind the camera.
Mohanlal wrote that the film will be children-friendly too. He called this 3D entertainment as a start to his new journey in his career. It is a story set in Portugal. He further added that meeting Jijo Punnoose, the director of India’s fantasy 3D film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, his dream of entering direction has now become possible.
Both the actor and director T K Rajeev Kumar are said to have met Jijo and the trio discussed about the film. The narration of Barroz story impressed Mohanlal. When the discussion came up on who will direct the film, Mohanlal said, ‘I will’. This exciting film will have famous actors from global wide and will be shot in beautiful locations of Goa.
