Young hero Vijay Devarakonda has become an important guest at film events these days. While Konidela Niharika invited her as a guest during Suryakantham pre-release, now Mahesh Babu also invited him for Maharshi pre-release event. And here is what the ‘comrade’ said at the event.
“I don’t care how the teaser, trailer or anything is, I will just say watch his films. Because I’m a hardcore fan of Mahesh Babu since childhood and used to stand in queues at Konark theatre in Dilsukhnagar for tickets of his films” said Vijay, breaking fans into whistles.
He further added, “For that generation.. it is Chiru sir.. and for this generation, it is Mahesh sir”. That broke the fans at the event into more claps and shouts.
However, Vijay stated that it is difficult to call Mahesh as ‘sir’. “Since childhood, we are claiming that Mahesh Babu is our person. And now, I feel little uneasy to call him as ‘sir’ as I’m so accustomed to calling him as Mahesh Babu. But still, I’m trying hard”.
And then, he expressed happiness regarding Mahesh’s tweets about Pelichoopulu. “When I first saw about his tweet that Pellichoopulu is a great film and blah blah blah, I got stunned and excited when he said Vijay Devarakonda is terrific. Sir, please keep tweeting about me and my films”, asked Vijay, making Mahesh smile.
“As May 9th is my birthday, now this film’s release and success became my pressure now,” said Vijay Devarakonda, signing off.
