Ever since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stormed into power, there have been speculations about Mohan Babu getting this post or that post given their close relations.
Senior actor and politician Mohan Babu had canvassed for YSRC party in the recent assembly polls and batted for Jagan as CM.
Now that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has completed a month’s term as new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the veteran actor is seeking a plum post.
Although his public stance is that he didn’t campaign for Jagan seeking a post, insiders say he is already lobbying for an influential post in the government.
Recently a news went viral. That he would be made as Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation, a post that is being held by producer Ambika Krishna.
The producer was appointed by the former government and he tendered his resignation to his post.
However, the team Mohan Babu slammed these reports. They said Mohan Babu has not been appointed as FDC chairperson. If anything is there, we would inform you, the team told the media.
Earlier, speculations also went overdrive that Mohan Babu would be made as new Chairman of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD), which is more powerful than a cabinet rank minister in Andhra Pradesh. But Y S Jagan has given this plum post to his relative YV Subba Reddy.
Mohan Babu is still waiting for clarity.
