Jaggayyapet YSR Congress Party MLA Samineni Udaybhanu’s son Samineni Prasad is in news for wrong reasons. A case was booked against Samineni Prasad by Madhapur police after the former allegedly attacked Traffic Inspector Rajagopal Reddy while performing his duty. According to police, Prasad had a huge argument with Traffic Inspector Rajagopal Reddy over the traffic diversion and went onto attack him while he was on his duty at Hitech City Road in Madhapur Police Station Limits.
Taking the act seriously, the cops have immediately booked Prasad and took him into their custody. A case has been registered against Prasad. Cops are probing the matter and trying to collect the CCTV footage of the incident for proof. More details are yet to be known.
This is first ever case booked against the kin of YCP MLA after YCP came to power in AP. Ever since the formation of new government in AP, both the state governments are having friendly relations. Both YCP and TRS are maintaining good political bond. One has to wait and see, whether cops would succumb to political pressure or will they continue to do their duty.
