Clearing the Kannada and Malayalam versions of ‘Queen’ remake and holding the Tamil version by asking for 25 cuts, Censor Board has raked up yet another controversy. Though the Kajal starrer “Paris Paris” is a frame-by-frame remake of Kangana Ranaut’s blockbuster film, CBFC refused to pass it with ‘U’ or ‘U/A’ certificate.
Apparently, the producers of Paris Paris are told that CBFC thinks the film will not suit Tamil audiences without those cuts. Especially they have asked to cut out the Kajal’s breast-squeezing scene where Elli Avram touches it playfully and also to tone down the scenes of Elli’s cleavage show as they are of ‘adult’ nature.
Speaking about the same, Kajal stated that they have made the film by pouring in huge efforts and asked the CBFC to let them enjoy the fruits. “Our producers are trying to make sure that all those 25-cuts will be retained and CBFC will look into the fact that we made sensible scenes that reflect the current situation of the society but nothing else”, she said.
In the wave of flops that swept her big time, Kajal is hoping that Paris Paris might give her a bit a relief. Let’s see what happens.
