It looks like everything is going haywire for the Congress party in Karnataka. After the coalition government (Congress- Janata Dal Secular) lost the trust vote in the assembly.
One of the major troubleshooters and senior Congress leader DK Shiva Kumar, who has put in all efforts to get back the rebel MLAs of his party during turmoil, has been arrested by Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
ED has been questioning Shiva Kumar in New Delhi from last few days and finally, he’s been taken into custody on Tuesday evening. Given that Shiva Kumar is taken into custody only few days after JDS-Congress govt collapsed, it has become the biggest talking point in political circles.
ED has been questioning DK Shiva Kumar in connection with Rs 8 cr unaccounted amount that was recovered by the Income Tax officials in 2017 when they conducted raids on his properties.
