The trailer of Sarileru Neekevvaru is a laugh riot and promises a perfect potboiler for this Sankranthi. But it also reminds one of director Sreenu Vaitla who carved niche for slapstick comedy with films like Dhee, Venky, Dookudu et al. Going by Sarileru trailer, it has shades of Sreenu Vaitla’s Venky as the train episode reminds one such train sequence in Venky. The treatment reminds us of Mahesh and Vaitla’s yesteryear blockbuster Dookudu.
Even Anil’s previous film F2 has Vaitla’s tinge and touch. The vacuum created by Vaitla’s absence is duly filled by Anil Ravipudi. In fact, Anil isn’t doing the mistake what Vaitla did. He has introduced his writers team to media and fans at the event. This is a welcome gesture. By giving due importance to his writers team, Anil made it clear that these are the men behind his work.
If Sarileru does magic at the BO like Mahesh’s Dookudu, Anil would make it to the top slot like Vaitla. Let’s wait and see, what is in store for Anil.
