A Ukraine International Airlines plane crashed shortly after takeoff near an airport in the capital, Tehran. The plane is carrying at least 170 people and authorities suspect that a mechanical issue might have caused for the crash.
The plane took off from Imam Khomeini international airport and after sometime the plane stopped sending data. Iranian emergency officials confirm the crash and also all the people on plane were killed. An official said that plane went down in a farmland and efforts are being made to recover the dead and analyse the situation.
The crashed plane is a Boeing 737-800 and Ukraine Airlines uses them around the world.
This crash of Ukraine Airlines came hours after Iran launched missile attack on US forces which are taking shelter in Iran.
