WC: Shami trolled after defeat,MP calls hatred against Muslims!

Indians are unable to digest the humiliating defeat to Pakistan suffered by India in their inaugural match. The defeat had also broken the record held by India, not losing to any match to Pakistan in any World Cup. Social media was flooded with trolls against Indian cricketers and their performance.

After the 10-wickets loss to Pakistan, Indian speedster Mohammed Shami became the target of intense attack and brutal trolling on social media. A few netizens have stooped too low and attacked Shami on the grounds of his faith. They said Shami did not play well intentionally as he is playing against Muslims.

Hyderabad MP, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted to the online abuse against the cricketer and said it is nothing but hatred against the Muslims. Out of the cricket team, only Shami was attacked as he is Muslim. Will the Centre speak against the attack, Owaisi asked.

Speaking at a press conference in Telangana capital city Hyderabad, Owaisi said winning and losing in the game is common and a player was targeted on social media which is radicalization. When there are 11 players in the team, why is only one cricketer is targeted, because he is a Muslim, the Hyderabad Parliamentarian maintained.

It was a bad day for Shami in the match against Pakistan as he concluded 43 runs in his spell of 3.5 overs. Like the rest of the bowlers, he too failed to pick any wicket in the game.
