Star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in the news a lot recently due to her absence on social media and other reasons which are not related to her career. The ‘Dookudu’ actress announced that she is back to work with a string of social media posts and her fans are excited to see her after a brief gap. She was last seen on the big screens in February through the romantic comedy ‘Kanmani Rambo Khatija’ directed by Vignesh Shivan.
But it looks like the glamorous diva is arriving in theatres two times within a gap of one week. She did two heroine-oriented movies which will be having a pan-Indian release in November. The first to arrive is ‘Shaakunthalam’ which is a mythological drama. The shooting was wrapped up long back but the release date was not announced for a long time. Recently, the film’s unit announced that it will be hitting the marquee on 4th November 2022.
Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyantha in this movie and Gunasekhar made it on a grand scale. Music is composed by Mani Sharma while ‘Shaakuntalam’ is written and directed by Gunasekhar. Neelima Guna produced this film while Shekar V Joseph is the cinematographer. Prawin Pudi is the editor while Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues. Presented by Dil Raju, Dev Mohan will be seen as Dushyanta. Ananya Nagalla, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Prakash Rah, Gautam, Kabir Bedi, Kabir Singh Duhan and others played key roles.
Just seven days later, she will be taking the audience on a thrilling ride with ‘Yashoda’. The teaser which came out garnered a good response and Samantha is seen playing a different role in this flick. Hari-Harish duo is directing this edge-of-the-seat thriller with a stellar cast & renowned technicians. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad is producing this movie under his ‘Sridevi Movies’ banner. Dialogues were written by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Dr. Challa Bhagyalaxmi. Mani Sharma is composing the music while Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor. It is releasing in multiple languages. With the release date locked, the makers are reportedly planning promotional strategies.
It looks like fans of Samantha are going to have a great time in theatres on the 4th and 11th of November with two big projects of her arriving. They are hoping that both these flicks end up getting successful at the box office.
