Films and politics are two big fields. They both meet each other sometimes as films show the political spectrum in the films. A few film stars ventured into politics and held big positions like Parliamentarians, MLAs, and Cabinet Ministers. The trend has been going on for a long time.
Veteran actors like Maruthur Gopalan Ramachandran and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao become the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu and combined Andhra Pradesh respectively. Jayalalithaa also served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Jaya Prada and Amitabh Bachchan became members of Parliament.
If we look at Andhra Pradesh, actress Roja became an MLA and was made the Cabinet Minister in the second Cabinet. This tells us how the trend of actors venturing into politics is being followed. Actor Pawan Kalyan started a political party and is trying his best in increasing his political image.
But the trend changed allegedly as a Cabinet Minister is reportedly trying to enter the film world. However, the twist in the tale is that the Minister wants to venture into production and make films. The work is said to be going on at a good pace and we might hear news on the project coming from her.
As per the media reports, Vidadala Rajini, Minister of Medical and Health of Andhra Pradesh wants to enter the industry as a producer. She reportedly set up a production house in Hyderabad. As a first production, she might do a film with a famous actor and talks are going on.
It is said that no announcement was made as of now as nothing was finalized. Once things go as per plans and everything falls in place the project might be announced. As any new project is announced with a traditional pooja ceremony, we will get to know about the project soon.
Vidadala Rajini comes from the IT field. After her graduation, she went to America to do a job. She set up a company there and returned to Hyderabad to enter politics. Though her career started with the grand old Telugu Desam Party she joined the YCP. She was taken into the cabinet in Andhra Pradesh.
