Agent Box Office: First Monday Collapsed

Director Surender Reddy’s latest film “Agent” featuring Akhil Akkineni and Sakshi Vaidya in lead roles, released on April 28th, has been receiving negative reviews. Despite releasing on a large scale with Mammootty in a key role, the film failed to turn the weekend into a positive one, with collections not improving on Saturday and Sunday.

In four days, the film collected a share of Rs. 5.28 crores and a gross collection of Rs. 9.46 crores in the Telugu states alone, with collections of Rs. 0.37 crores and Rs. 0.80 crores in Karnataka plus rest of India and overseas, respectively. The total worldwide collection in four days was Rs. 6.49 crores share and Rs. 12.20 crores gross.

4 days share collections
AP Telangana : 5.28 crores
Karnataka Plus ROI: 0.37 crores
Overseas: 0.80 crores

Worldwide: 6.49 crore share, 12.20 crore gross

However, the situation worsened on the first Monday with no collections in most areas, indicating that the box office run of the movie may be over soon. The total valued business of the movie is Rs. 36.20 crores, but the break-even point is fixed at Rs. 37 crores, which means the film needs another Rs. 30 crores to become a hit.

Trade experts suggest that due to the negative reviews, the film’s chances of success at the box office are bleak, and it may be difficult to sustain its run in theaters. Film analysts opine that this movie has once again hit Akhil’s career hard. Overall, the prospects for “Agent” seem grim, and it remains to be seen if it can recover its losses and become a hit.
