Tirumala, one of the most famous and holiest shrines in India, has a flock of devotees every single day. This highest grossing religious place has now received a demand draft from Reliance Industries Ltd., making an offering of Rs 1.11 crore. The DD has been handed over to AV Dharma Reddy, who is the special officer of TTD, by a representative of Reliance Industries.
On submitting it, Ambani’s Industries also claimed to use the huge amount solely for the temple’s development purpose like the free meal trust. The meal scheme is one of the beneficial and essential programmes run by TTD as it facilitates more than one lakh devotees daily in this holiest place.
Among various donations trusts by TTD, free meal trust is unique and supreme as it believes the service to humanity is service to divinity. This noble act of serving millions of devotees daily has been largely appreciated by the Reliance and the mammoth amount of 1.11 crore is now being utilized on this free of cost meal trust.
