Telugu cricketer Ambati Rayudu is interested in politics and wants to try his luck in Andhra Pradesh politics is a debate that has been doing rounds for some time. A popular national newspaper picked up the news and since then rumors and reports are doing rounds on the possible entry of Ambati Rayudu into politics.
Adding fuel to this, Ambati Rayudu is tweeting in favour of the Andhra Pradesh government praising the schemes and initiatives. He even shared a video of a school girl praising Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme. He made a few posts in support of the state government.
Amid this, a sensational development was reported as Ambati Rayudu is said to have reached the Chief Minister Camp Office in Tadepalli to meet Jagan. There was no prior information about the meeting and the sudden meeting had caught everyone’s attention. Various theories are doing rounds on this.
Many say that Ambatio Rayudu might have visited Jagan to talk about his political ambitions and convey the same. He might also join the party as per the reports. The general elections are just one year away and Ambati Rayudu hails from the Kapu community which can be a deciding factor in the elections.
If he can join the party, then the ruling party would get an advantage as he is a popular face and his popularity would also come in handy. Cricketers entering into politics is not a new trend. Earlier former Indian team cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin made his way into politics and served as the Lok Sabha member. World cup winning player Gautam Gambhir is the MP from the Bharatiya Janata Party. If everything goes as per the reports then Ambati Rayudu would join the special list.
On the other hand, it is also said that the meeting was to discuss various aspects of the sports infrastructure in the state. Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government said it wants to develop the infrastructure. The meeting is dubbed as the efforts of developing the infrastructure as Amabti Rayudu has a good knowledge of the sport.
