The long-awaited route, Ameerpet to Hitec City metro, which was supposed to start from last December is now all set to start in a full-fledged manner. From tomorrow, AMRP-HTC Metro Rail will commence and all five out of eight metro stations between the route will begin the active operations. The news has been confirmed by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited on Tuesday. Andhra and Telangana Governor, ESL Narasimhan, will inaugurate the stretch.
The opening ceremony is said to be having no other politicians and will be a low-key affair due to the upcoming LS polls. It is to be noted that Jubilee Hills check-post, Peddamma temple and Madhapur stations will not be inaugurated tomorrow and only be opened after few weeks. There is a delay in the work said the managing director.
The eight stations in this 10km stretch are Madhuranagar, Yousufguda, Jubilee Hills road no.5, check-post, Peddamma temple, Madhapur, Durgum Cheruvu and Hitec city. Moreover, Madhuranagar station will be developed as a woman-managed station with shops side by on the needs of women and kids. Due to sharp curves on the route, this train will also be speed restricted in the initial days and the frequency of the train will be 9 to 12 minutes.
