‘Baahubali’, the phenomenon created by a Telugu film director is winning accolades from not just national but international media as well.
Inspired by the humongous worldwide success of Baahubali 2, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has mentioned the film in its prime time program. The news broadcaster said that Baahubali 2 has wreaked havoc at the US box office by clinching the 3rd place at box office last week pushing behind many major Hollywood films. Baahubali 2 is also in Top 10 in the UK with the film’s Hindi and Tamil versions doing great business there. The channel praised the scale, grandeur and ambition of the film that has helped Indian cinema compete with the Hollywood blockbusters.
What baffled the Hollywood is Baahubali 2 competing with the biggies such as Fast & Furious 8 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and raking in phenomenal numbers in overseas. The SS Rajamouli directorial has so far collected around $13M in the US alone.
