All the three major releases this week – Palasa 1978, O Pitta Katha, Anukunnadi Okati Ayinadi Okati – have failed to attract crowds to cinemas. Lack of known cast coupled with dis-interesting content has got thumbs down from audience.
Looks like, the fear of Corona Virus spread too had its impact on Friday releases. All these together resulted in less footfalls. However, state government’s strong statements that Corona is zero in Telangana may improve the revenues of cinemas in coming days provided good content.
With this, last week releases have intensified the promotions. Mahanati fame Dulquer Salmaan and Pelli Choopulu fame Ritu Varma’s con-caper laced with romance Kannulu Kanulanu Dochayante, which surprisingly got unanimous positive reviews, said to be improving its collection at the BO.
The latest is that extra screens – about 40 – have been added from today, confirmed the film’s promoters in Telugu states. Vishwak Sen-starer Hit has cooled down completely and the film is ending up as an average.
