CBN in Delhi: Urjit Patel Tried Best To Protect RBI

Chandrababu Naidu’s Delhi tour coinciding with RBI Governor Urjit Patel’s untimely resignation has drawn the full attention of nation towards Opposition meeting.

The likes of Chandrababu, Rahul, Mamata, Deve Gowda, Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdullah, Stalin, Shivpal Singh Yadav (Samajwadi), Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy (CPI) have attended the meeting. From Congress, big wigs like Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Chidambaram have all attended. The objective of meeting is to discuss on how to shape up the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ and how to take it forward.

As this meeting of Opposition leaders took place just hours before the results of 5 state assembly elections is raising all the eyeballs. However, Mayawati from Uttar Pradesh has given this meeting a miss.

Soon after the meet, Chandrababu, Rahul and other opposition leaders flayed the Centre over the RBI Governor’s resignation. Naidu reiterated his slogan ‘Save Democracy, Save Nation’ and called for the unity of Opposition to take on Modi.

Chandrababu said RBI Governor Urjit tried his best to protect the institution. He said it is a historical meeting of Opposition leaders.

On the absence of Mulayam (SP) and Mayawati (BSP), Rahul Gandhi said it is a process of bringing together everyone. He said the leaders of Mahagathbandhan respect each and every party of opposition. The meeting of Opposition is likely to continue tomorrow as well.
