Popular political strategist Prashant Kishor was the key man behind YSR Congress party’s victory in the recent elections in Andhra Pradesh. After the poll results, there were reports that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is also considering to team up with Prashant Kishor. But this report stayed as a rumour as TDP sources denied anything as such. Surprisingly a TDP leader hailed Prashant Kishor for his work.
He is Butchaiah Chowdary. In a news channel’s talk show, Butchaiah Chowdary shared his thoughts and added that Prashant Kishor and his team did a lot of background work especially in the social media. When YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy claimed that 40 DSPs got key roles before the election and all belong to Kamma community, none from TDP countered it. In fact only two DSPs belonging to the same community got various roles. If we go by the facts, Kamma comminuty became a minus for TDP.
Butchaiah Chowdary also observed that BC voters played a key role. Along with him many TDP leaders have suggested Chandrababu to announce package sort of thing for BCs as YSRCP already did so by then. Somehow things did not materialize then and eventually the ‘Cycle’ party had to pay the price.
These are good observations by Butchaiah Chowdary and being a senior leader in the party, will there be any takers for his comments and emphasize on these aspects to strengthen party further in future is something to be noticed.
