#Corona: Where is AP Health Minister?

The Corona virus has spread to 16 states in the country and along with the Centre, the respective state governments have taken precautionary measures to contain the epidemic. In the states, the health minister will play a crucial role.

Take the case of Telangana, ever since the first case is reported in the state, health minister Eatala Rajender is on high alert. He is holding reviews after reviews, informing CM KCR about the situation and coordinating with union health ministry. Apart from this Eatala also visited Gandhi hospital to take a look at the arrangements made for isolation ward and even met Corona suspects and patients. He tried to pacify them and had a word with the family members too.

When compared to Telangana, AP has better hospitals and infrastructure. But the state’s health minister is nowhere to be seen ever since the outbreak. AP deputy CM cum health minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Alla Nani) did not appear before the media to make a statement on Corona in AP.

Amidst these, AP CM YS Jagan who called on the media last week to express his agony over pushing of local polls in the state, said Corona can be contained with paracetomal tablet and even bleaching powder works for it.

These comments went viral and national media widely published Jagan’s comment which invited laughter and criticism from all corners. On one hand, the scientists and medical experts are working day and night to prepare a vaccine for Corona virus and at the other end, Jagan seems to have find a solution for this pathogen.

Even under these critical circumstances, AP health minister Krishna Srinivas is absolutely silent. He did not defend his CM Jagan and his comments. But it’s high time to wake up as Corona is fast spreading.
