The Indian cricket team has made history in Australia by winning the first Test against the home team by 31 runs. This is India’s only sixth win in the Australian soil while this is the first occasion, where the men in blue won the first Test match of a series.
Cheteswara Pujara registered noticeable performance with a ton in the first innings and a half-century in the second. Indian bowlers were phenomenal in bowling out the Australian batsmen while wicket-keeper Rishab Pant achieved a milestone by taking 11 catches in a match, most by any Indian keeper in Tests.
The second Test would begin on December 14th in Perth.
