Mahanati is not just minting money to the makers but also winning accolades. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu invited and felicitated Mahanati team in Amaravathi today.
On this occasion, senior leader Nannapaneni Rajakumari appealed to CM asking him to consider giving tax exemption to Mahanati. Naidu in his speech announced tax exemption to the movie.
However, producer C. Ashwini Dutt politely refused the offer.
”Everybody including our team knows that CM has been hard working to build world class capital despite lack of proper funds.
We don’t want to further burden the government by accepting tax exemption to our film.
Instead we donate Rs 50 lakh as a small contribution from our side towards development of Amaravathi. We feel it’s our privilege,” said an emotional Dutt.
