First Hero Comes In Support To Amaravati Farmers

The farmers of Amaravati, who are continuing to protest Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s proposal to make Vishakhapatnam as executive capital, have received the support of political parties like Telugu Desham, Jana Sena, BJP, CPI and Aam Aadmi.

Now, Tollywood actor and Chandrababu Naidu’s nephew Nara Rohith has pledged his support to ongoing agitation and said that he will directly participate in their fight to save Amaravati. Through a Facebook post, the actor said: ‘The sacrifice of Amaravati farmers is priceless for the construction of Andhra Pradesh capital. They gave a new life to the bifurcated state by giving away their lands and paved way for easy administration in Amaravati. Your struggle from last 23 days to save Amaravati is an inspiration for future generations. The fight of farmers will never go waste and I will soon be participating in their protest.’

Chiranjeevi and Comedian Prithvi are two others from the industry to express their views on Jagan’s proposal. While Megastar Chiranjeevi welcomed the three-capital proposal with an official statement, the comments of SVBC chairman Prithvi was slammed by Amaravati farmers for the highly controversial comments. Prithvi has compared the farmers who’re protesting to ‘paid artists’.
