It is said that Imran Khan was arrested in connection with a corruption case. He was served notices directing him to appear before the officers. As he did not respond to the notices, Rangers are said to have arrested him from court premises earlier today.
It is said that Imran Khan reached the Islamabad High Court to attend the hearing in a case. When he reached the court, the rangers barged into the court premises and arrested him. His lawyers made a failed attempt to stop Imran Khan from an arrest.
As Imran Khan was arrested from the court premises, the High Court is said to have taken the matter seriously. A detailed investigation has been reportedly called into this to know the exact reason behind the former Prime Minister’s arrest.
